What is the opportunity?

Excited about cloud technologies? Looking to make a difference helping one of the biggest enterprises in Canada build a hybrid cloud? We need your help!

In this role you will have the opportunity to develop cutting edge cloud platforms and gain highly coveted experience in transforming the enterprise to the hybrid cloud. You will be designing and building world class multi-cloud Kubernetes Platform for hosting critical applications within the bank. You will interact with a team of passionate cloud engineers who thrive on solving challenging technical problems and creating great products that delight customers.

What will you do?

  • Provision and manage Kubernetes platform infrastructure using infrastructure as code
  • Design and develop Kubernetes operators to facilitate deployments to multi-cloud platforms
  • Create automation and integration with different tooling and services to provide seamless developer experience for application teams
  • Contribute to a team of like-minded platform engineers building the large scale multi-cloud Kubernetes platform as part of the RBC hybrid cloud strategy
  • Support customers to migrate their applications to cloud platform

Must-have

  • Experience with container platforms. Ideally Kubernetes and/or Docker
  • Experience with writing GoLang applications. Ideally Kubernetes operators
  • Familiar with Infrastructure Automation and Infrastructure as Code
  • Effective communication skills

Nice-to-have

  • Experience working with Git, Artifactory
  • Experience with using at least one cloud provider (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
